[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”10px”][vc_column_text]There are two new yarn types in the shop. One of them is BFL Donegal Sock<\/a>. The wool is from the British sheep Bluefaced Leicester\u00a0and very wear-resistant when knit into socks. The yarn consists of 85% wool and 15% Donegal Nep, a tweed effect\u00a0on the basis of nylon.<\/p>\n

The yarn is also recommendable for skin that is rather sensitive to polyester.[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”10px”][vc_column_text]The second new yarn is calledHighland Eco<\/a> and is an organic DK weight yarn, running 225 meters on 100 grams (278yd per 3.5oz). The wool is\u00a0from the Peruvian highlands and is a non-superwash yarn.<\/p>\n

In the Peruvian highlands there are only small sheep herds and owners are payed a fair price for the wool. In addition, the\u00a0spinnery teaches the farmers how to take better care of their sheep which often are their only income. The yarn is especially recommended for accessories such as hats, mittens and scarfs.<\/p>\n

We now carrying HiyaHiya supplies for knitters, such as needles, stitchmarkers, project bags, needle cases etc. \u00a0which I can highly recommend from my yearlong experience. If you don\u2019t find every needle size in the shop it is\u00a0due to the fact that the HiyaHiya products are so much sought after. What makes the needles so special? They consist of\u00a0100% stainless steel and are hollow on the inside and so light and very durable. The cable\u00a0moves in its own thread which makes the stitches always sit right in their place, no pulling of the garment in progress necessary.<\/p>\n

The bamboo needles are very stable at the same time the needles bend slightly which makes knitting easier on the finger\u00a0joints.<\/p>\n
